Google earlier this year announced their new product which could revolutionize the way people communicate or use their devices. Google glasses is a glass which can be worn just like any other eyewear and it comes equipped with a small computer which is equipped with Android and can be used for many purposes for which we need our smartphone nowadays.
Today we are facing some difficulties with our smart devices as we need them throughout the day and thus find ourselves glued to it otherwise sitting near a charger to keep the battery alive. So Google has come up with an alternative way by which we can do many of the works for which we need the phones. Some of them are –
- Calling up a person – we can attend our phone calls and dial-up others numbers with the help of the glasses we do not need any other device for the purpose.
- Checking notifications and emails – now we can check our notifications regarding various things and we can also read our small mails and other substances with its help for which we needed our smart devices earlier.
- As a camera – we use it as a camera and can capture various pictures with its help without the help of any other devices.
Advantages –
- Hands-free – while using the glasses the main advantage is we can use both our hands for other purposes while using this device as the glasses rest on our ears and nose.
- Speed – our speed increases as we can read the things in the glasses do other activities like capturing a pic with real-time can execute our work following it quite instantly.
Disadvantages –
- Noise – The voice heard during calls in crowded or noisy places is very poor for anyone can sometimes be of no use.
- Comfort – people who do not have the habit of wearing glasses for a long time can face difficulties with this as wearing this everywhere around throughout the day can be annoying.
Version 2.0 –
Google has recently announced that they are going to allow a free update to the google glass version 2.0 as once a time opportunity for all the existing users. We might be thinking that there might be solutions for many of the problems which one might have faced during our use, but one might be disappointed to hear that there is not much of an update for it now. The few updates were –
- Earphones – they have provided us with an opportunity of earphones along with the glasses which can help one in calling from a place which is very noisy as there won’t be much of an interference with its help.
- Explorer bonanza googles hinted that as their program was going finely related to their new glasses they were going to allow 3 more friends for the existing users.
- Hardware and look – the talk is also there that Google has made the second version glasses more realistic than before and have also provided with an attached Earbud along the glasses.
