Let me explain a bit about firmware before giving the news update of the Samsung galaxy gear for which we have been waiting for a long time . So firmware , well it is a permanent software which has been embedded in the read only memory of the device which is a permanent memory and a user cannot do much about it . Well we have been long waiting for this update from Samsung as there were a few problems with the gear which were causing a hell of problems for the users . One such problem which was notified by many users was the notification problem . - Connection and range – well the officials of Samsung have to say that they with the new update have improved the range of the gear within which it can be operated . They said it has been increased by a little and by this improvement all the users are surely going to be happy as the range provided before was pretty less for the users.
- Battery life – the company has also got to say that with this update the gear is going to have a longer battery life than it had earlier . Well we can only be sure about it once the users confirm that there has been an improvement in the battery backup .
- Voice search – well we have also come to hear that they have also improved the s voice search feature which was available on the gear earlier .
- Gear’s performance – well the company at last had to say that all the features have been updated for the gear , now we quite do not know what did they exactly meant by that statement .

We all know that it was a necessity for Samsung to provide a firmware update for the Samsung galaxy gear as the problem existing in the gear now was turning to be a headache for the users . From the updates announced by the company we can surely see that they have taken steps in improving the main problems faced by the users that were connectivity and range problem and battery life of the gear .
Well we are not quite sure about whether this update will be useful for the users or not and also another problem is that it doesn’t seem like Samsung is going to launch the update for all over the globe at once but only for USA . But the main factor is that if the firmware updates works as it is said to then it will be a great relief for all the users .
